Welcome to My Beginning....

Welcome and Hi.

     Well where do I start...LOL...

A little about me:

I am a Medically Retired Army Veteran. My family is supportive of me and my daily issues that rise up. I just don't know how I would roll on as best as I do without them on a daily basis.

A Large! A Small!! A Never ending Thank you to my Family!!

I was and still am not able to go out and get a job. I don't function to well a lot of the time so the Military and VA have rendered me unemployable. This drove me insane and made me feel useless as a human being. I went from a busy bee life in the Military to a screeching halt to nothingness..!!! What was I to do with all this time on my hands.. I had no idea... I just taught my son his schooling and that was only 3 hours out of the day what about the other 12.
Well, my daughter joined a cheer leading team. I sat and watched her from the bleachers and saw the mothers chit chatting over things that need to be done and who wanted to do what. and I was like hmmm.  Instead of me sitting on the bleachers doing nothing, I thought maybe there is something I can do for the team. You know get involved somehow.
I finally got up and walked over to them and introduced myself and asked (I can not remember exactly) but we got to competition hair bows. I told them I could make them. That I was a very creative person once so I can give it a try and see what I come up with.

I went online and looked up different competition designs and they where so basic that I did not want to make anything like that. So I started brainstorming and *wallah* I came up with a design and it was really neat. It looked like a prize button with the eight ribbon loops around it then a  center piece and long tails.
I was so proud my very first bow. I showed it to them and they where like it is wonderful but....( Don't you hate the but's!)..the girls will be wearing a ponytail of curls in the center of there head in the back.  So..like thanks for the info before I went to the drawing board ..lol... I went back and started brainstorming again.. and a few designs later..
I did it a Bow that was competition worthy.

The girls where so excited they had nothing like it before in the past competitions. well, let me tell you not to brag or anything but... they stood out like *good* sore thumbs. The coach was asked where she bought them and can they get the info for next competition. When she said that a mom of one of her girls made it, I was glowing. I found something that I can do. On top of that I can be creative and people will be interested in my designs.

Thus beginning my journey into Bow making.......
